News: Dunstable Town Triumph over Maulden in Walking Football Clash

Written by Ian Steele

On Friday, 20th January, Dunstable Town Walking Football Team faced off against Maulden Walking Football Team at Creasey Park.

In a well-contested match, the Blues secured an impressive 3-0 victory under the floodlights on a bitterly cold evening.

The home side took the lead midway through the first half thanks to a superb goal from former Maulden player, Dave Streeton, following excellent build-up play from the team.

The second half saw Dunstable field a reshuffled line-up, but their dominance continued. Striker Dave Golding netted a clinical brace, sealing the win.

Goalkeeper Adam Potter deserves special recognition for his solid performance, ensuring a clean sheet on the night.

Maulden Town, who frequently host walking football tournaments in Flitwick, provided tough opposition despite the scoreline.

Both teams look forward to renewing this friendly rivalry in future competitions.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening of walking football was had by all involved, showcasing the sport’s camaraderie and competitive spirit.
