Adding to the depth of the goalkeeping position next season is Connor Coulson who along with Charlie Jones has agreed to join Dunstable Town next season.
Connor is no stranger to the club having previously made appearances in between the sticks for the Blues in various seasons. Connor has most recently impressed in his spell at Leighton Town last season where he amassed over 40 appearances in goal and was a key figure in their Beds Senior Cup triumph.
Here is what Dunstable Town Head Coach, Joe Deeney, had to say about Connor:
"Connor is an excellent addition to our group for next season. Connor has a great physical presence and stature in the goal and makes big saves at big moments in games. He is commanding and dominant and brings that in addition to an excellent back line.
He has good experience and has delivered in big important games during his time with Leighton Town. Im delighted with the depth we have at Goalkeeper and am looking forward to working with Connor."
This move brings strong competition for the number 1 spot next season with Charlie Jones also agreeing to join the Blues, speaking on this Joe had this to say:
"I felt it was critical to ensure we had 2 outstanding Goalkeepers at the level ready for next season. The schedule is intense and to have only 1 GK for next season I feel is a huge risk. Too often as managers, we are reactive when a GK gets injured, suspended or unavailable and are rushing around trying to find an emergency option. Both Charlie and Connor bring very different attributes and most Importantly are both excellent characters. I know that both will push and help each other which is imperative. We are going to have depth and strength at every position next season starting with our Goalkeepers. I am delighted to have both Connor and Charlie joining us. Welcome to the Dunstable army."
