Dunstable Town FC can confirm that our away match at Crawley Green FC on Saturday 15th March was abandoned on 73 minutes due to an allegation that a Dunstable Town player had racially abused a Crawley Green player.
The allegation is categorically denied by our player.
The Club has launched an internal enquiry and informed the Spartan South Midlands Football League, the Football Supporters’ Association and Beds FA of the incident.
The FA has established procedures for dealing with allegations of discriminatory abuse and behaviour which the Club will fully cooperate with and allow due process to take its course.
The Club has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of discriminatory language and behaviour and has been a long-term advocate for, and ally of, Kick it Out & Fans for Diversity.
As a community owned club, we are opposed to all forms of discrimination, bigotry and division and are proud of our links with fellow community owned clubs at home and abroad who welcome and celebrate inclusion and diversity.
